The Power of Coach's Thinking: Why Personality Matters More Than Technique

Entrepreneurship is not only about business strategies and coaching techniques for achieving goals; it's about unconventional thinking, mental resilience, and vision. As an experienced coach, I've come to the conclusion that while techniques and methods are valuable tools in our arsenal, it's the coach's thinking and personality that truly influence the effectiveness of our work with clients.

Here's why:

1. Mental state decides everything. In psychology, there's a principle of the primacy of mental states. First, a certain internal state is created, and then an event corresponding to this internal state is reproduced in reality.

Similarly, the internal state and mindset of the coach set the tone for the coaching journey with the client. The coach's personality, or rather: values, beliefs, and behavior, influence those we work with much more than any methodology or strategy.

2. Authentic connection: Techniques can be learned, but authenticity is innate. Clients are more likely to open up and begin to trust a coach with whom they interact on a personal level.

The coach's personality, including their empathy, sincerity, and ability to listen, plays a crucial role in building this connection.

More over, the coach's balanced mental state is transmitted to the client at the unconscious level and helps in such a "magical" way. But this is only possible with authentic connection with the client.

3. Leading by example. Entrepreneurs often turn to their coaches not only for goal achievement but also when they encounter difficulties, when they lack inspiration and motivation. And here, even more important than the coach's high achievements are his experience of overcoming his own failures and life problems. 

Advice to entrepreneurs: when choosing a business coach, pay attention to his personality and baggage of experience in overcoming his own failures and the failures of his clients. Be sure to listen to your inner response! If you feel sympathy and trust towards the coach's personality, then there will be great results in cooperation.
